Balancing Two Businesses & Motherhood (Plus energetic tips for Thanksgiving)

Welcome to Unveil, the podcast. I'm your host, Angela Christian, and I help you with unveiling your true self by peeling away the layers that society placed on you. Today I have kind of a different episode for you guys. I received two different people reached out asking me the same thing, and I always pay attention to patterns and details like that because it means that there's something someone needs. So I got asked by two different people, can you just share like what it's like balancing two businesses, being a single mom, like what do your, you know, your businesses are very different. You have a podcast. What does all of that look like? And I'm also going to share a little bit about how I'm preparing for the holidays, all the different emotions, all of that. So that will be, you know, I'll give some tips there as well. So when it comes to like my day-to-day, one of the people that reached out asked, like, what does your day look like? I kind of gave an answer over a week because it's a little bit different depending on what's going on, right? So in case you don't know or you're new here, welcome. I own two companies. I own a CFO, which stands for Chief Financial Officer. So I own a fractional CFO firm where I manage for startups, accounting, finances, projections, helping them with investor requests, all of that kind of stuff, right? So I have that company. I've had that company for many years, but went full-time with it in August of 2023. So I've had it for a little over two years now. I also have my healing, intuitive healing business, right? Which I would call my soul pull. And that has been increasing each month. So it's been interesting to watch like the this the shift. I used to 90% of my monthly income used to come from my CFO business. And then like maybe 10% would come from my soul pull. And as I look, I looked at like so nerdy I am. I looked at like some graphs and just trying to see over the last two years the shift. And it's been pretty cool. And this year in 2025, the shift has gone to almost, I would say it's 60% CFO work, 40% soul pull. And I've maintained six figures both last year and this year. So six figures both years, but the percentage between CFO and soul pull has shifted. So it's been very cool to kind of watch that trajectory. With that in mind, I also have three children. I have a daughter who is at she's a junior in college, she's in the sorority life, she has a boyfriend. She's about an hour and a half flight from me. So I don't get to see her as much as I would like, but I do get to go and visit her pretty often. And then I have a 10-year-old daughter and a six-year-old son. As many of my listeners know, I went through a divorce a few years ago and pulled myself out of a really tough position where I had to move from, you know, a beautiful four, four-bedroom, four-bath house into a tiny two-bedroom, two-bath apartment with my three kids. This was when my daughter was a senior in high school. And I slept on a broken couch in the living room, trying to pick the pieces up. And within six months, I was able to move us out into literally across the street from our old million-dollar home into a new million-dollar home. But at the time I was also working a corporate job, and it was just like to live where I did, all of my money was going to, you know, the house and maintaining the house. And it was like, and at the time, uh childcare. And it was just like, for what? You know, like all of my money is just literally, I'm earning it and it's going out. So I made the tough decision to move in with my parents a couple of years ago and go all in on my CFO business while I was also building up my soul poll. So I'm still living with my parents. Probably, I would guess, you know, for a little while longer. And yes, my human doesn't love that, but it's all part of my higher self's plan. And I'm all about what my higher self wants. So the way that I kind of manage my week is I usually assign like Tuesdays today. It's completely dedicated to my soul pull. So on Tuesdays, I do my healings for clients and my mentorship program. I do telegram check-ins with them. I record my podcast on Tuesdays. I'll do audios for my membership or my light it up program, my dark force program. I really devote all of Tuesday to my soul poll. And then the other days, because my soul poll is growing at a steady rate, obviously I do work in my soul poll on the other days. And so I've been integrating kind of like what do I need to get done in my CFO business, right? Because there are deadlines, there are things I need to get done in a timely manner. So I balance that with also reads. And so I have had an issue, which I am working on, where I've noticed if someone books with me, I tend to want to get them in as soon as possible, you know, and help them as soon as possible. That's all well and good, but what I've decided to do is actually ask my higher self, okay, when would be the best time to do their healing session? Right. And then I go with my higher self's choice versus my human tendency to want to rush, which I'm dealing with a whole time reflection right now. My human self wants to rush and like get them in as soon as possible, but my higher self knows which day will be the best, right? Like someone could book with me, and it might be that like two weeks from that day is actually the best. So I go with my higher self. So my son is in school. So then it's school pickup at 3:15. I always start my day with putting myself first. I do a facial massage by Anastasia, for those of you who don't know. She does these amazing, it's called glow or consistency. I can't remember the there's a couple different names for it, but she does beauty fascia, which I hope I'm saying that correctly. Anyway, I do my facial massage every day. Then I go to the gym. And I do not do anything else until I put myself first, right? Well, obviously, I do school drop off, but then I go to the gym. My sister and I have been working out together, and then I come home and I time block. I do ask my higher self, I'll make a list and I'll say, here are the, you know, five things or whatever I need to get done. Higher self, which one should I focus on first? And for how long? So I kind of do it that way. Unless there's something that has a hard deadline, then I will do that. You know, obviously I'll prioritize that. Then I pick my son up. Usually we'll play for a little bit, and then he wants to like kind of unwind with a one of his favorite shows or something. And so he'll do that. I'll do a little bit of wrapping up my work, and then I spend the rest of the time with my kids, and we eat an early dinner at 5:30, bathtime, bedtime at 7:30. And then I, after I put my son to bed, I will spend time studying, integrating. I always have things to do, reading. Sometimes I'll just like want to watch a show and just kind of unwind. So that is really how I handle things. Like honestly, I don't even know what it feels like to not have a really busy schedule, to be honest. So definitely probably due for a vacation soon, which I am going on a vacation next month. So that will be fun. Anyway, that is it. I mean, I don't have a partner at the time at this time. I do hope eventually to have a partner. But honestly, I don't even know where they would fit into my life at this point because it's just go, go, go. Yeah, it would have to be someone who's just as busy where it would be, you know, quality time, not quantity. So that's kind of where I'm at. And then like days like today, I had an hour and a half call with my mentor, Alessandro, as many of you know him. And that was just so mind expanding. And that kind of sometimes conversations with him, everything just kind of shifts. And I feel like I've gone into a different dimension in a good way. And then I have just this period of time where I'm expanding. So it's there's nothing super regular about my schedule other than like putting myself for school drop-off, looking at my day, school pickup, and then all the mother stuff, you know? So happy to expand on that if anyone wishes, but I try to be very intentional with my when I schedule healings because I never want to rush through those, right? So it is the end of the year. Some of my CFO stuff kind of picks up, and I need to be aware of that as well. So that's kind of that. Now I will switch gears to preparing for the holidays. If you're in the US and you're going to be celebrating Thanksgiving, I know for me, even when it's just me and my three kids, they are all very different. They have very different personalities. And my oldest daughter, you know, I think this is just an older child thing sometimes, but she was so used to it being me and her for like the first nine years of her life. She gets a little not jealous, but she really wants time with me, right? So everybody kind of walks on eggshells when she's around because she can also be a little quick-tempered. She's very sensitive, though. She comes off as tough, but she's very sensitive. And all my kids are very sensitive. So it's a lot of different personalities. And then you add in all the other family members. So the key things that I would recommend in those situations is making sure you pull your aura in because when it's out and large, which some of my clients will look in and their aura is like 30 feet out, it is getting contaminated by other people's thoughts, emotions, contagions, all of that kind of stuff, right? So it's just like a glass of water. If it had a bunch of dirt in it, you wouldn't want to drink it. You want to keep your water clean. You want to keep your aura clean and close. The other thing I would do, some of this is more like technical. You would have to know how to do this, but the emotion protection, the thought protection, which I have in my light it up program, the contagion clearing, which I do have a free one on my podcast. I have a more in-depth one in my membership and in Light It Up. But the one on my podcast would be a great one to listen to before you go meet with family members. There's something called a source stiff arm that I do if I'm going to be around a family member who has dark energy, little dark friends around them. There's a technique where you can push them out. You're not clearing them because we don't always have permission to clear people, but we can push them out so that they're a little less affected by it and it won't, they won't jump onto you, right? So there's very specific things that we can do. But if you don't have that kind of training, at least, at the very least, pull in your aura. Just set the intent. I pull in my aura close to my body, ideally like two and a half feet from your skin. That is something I've been seeing a lot in clients with anxiety, is because their aura is so big, and then they're like, you can almost think of like an energy around you with fingers and it's reaching into other people's energy. And of course, you're going to feel anxious when you are mixing your energy with other people's, right? You're picking up on their fear, their anger, all of these different overwhelming emotions. So that would be the energetic piece. The other piece is to just try to not react to people when they say certain things. I used to be someone who would react immediately and not in a nice way. Now I really am consciously aware and I will take a breath, I will take a drink of water, coffee, and just kind of look at the whole situation. And if you have your intuition dialed in, you can actually, like, let's say a family member says something that's rude, you can actually look in and see how rooted they are to that. If it's a reflection, if they are your inside out voice. Like there's so many things going on when that, and I wrote about this in my Substack article. Was that this week or last week? Oh, it was my Sunday source. I wrote about this. The there's so much going on around us that we don't see, right? And once you kind of understand the energetics of what's happening, that you the things that you can't see that are happening, right? It really puts things more into perspective. So if someone says something rude to me or I get offended by something, I will then dial it down and I'll look at, okay, what's actually going on? Is this a reflection? Is this part of my soul lesson trying to resolve what is actually going on? So that's how I deal with a lot of that. And I would say finally, also just be careful with alcohol consumption because certain entities absolutely love when people are drinking, getting drunk, they will jump in and amplify and just make things a lot worse. So that's something to also be aware of. So with that being said, just a short, little, short and sweet episode for you today. And I will be finishing up some work today and then picking up my daughter tomorrow from the airport and just going to plan on being with my family for the rest of the week. So sending you all love.
